Considering the nuclear threat of China, Pakistan, and middle eastern countries, Mr. Gujral insisted that even though India does not want to possess nuclear weapons, they cannot maintain security without them.

I think it is wrong to say a country needs nuclear weapons because others possess them. I believe any intense situation can be solved through dialogs.
 

I'm very sorry the deaths in hiroshima and nagasaky.
 

1) The hostility between the two countries have accelerated since the testing. 
2) It is a criminal act that the government spends its budget on manufacturing a large amount of destructive weapons instead of using it for welfare. 
3) The two countries' nuclear testing may drag the world into a new accelation on the nucler race. 
4) These testings may lead to the beginning of a war which may annihilate all human beings. 
 

I don't want to mourn for my world dying..... Raise our voice for nuclear disarmament ....

I've lived in Japan for 3 (three) years in the 70's the country side was just beaitful and the people were friendly, also which made the time we spent there a lot of fun and alot of good memories of friends and family I hope some day to comeback to visit the places where the war took place to see for myself if the price the Japanese people of the two cities was worth it . 

The pictures that were shown on the internet site just stuned me from the damage and death caused by the use of these weapons . The price the citizens of the United States of America & the citizens of Japan paid was far too much. Both in the guilt from the use of these weapons to the start of the Pacific war as both have the ironic statis of being a suprise to the other . This doesn't mean that it's ok to build nuclear weapons because you need them to stop or defend your country reguardless . 

They shouldn't be used at all Let's hope this problem between India & Pakistan gets resolved bfore we wake to this on the morning news .

Nuclear Club Nations doesn't needs too, against who are they thinking use them? Iran? to make radioactive the bigest oil field in the world ? oil that these nations are adicts?.

Nuclear weapons are symbols of force not of intelligence. Nuclear weapons are for destroy not for defense, are the maximum level of brutality and stupidity, they represent a cheap way to kill, it demostrates the value of the life for the nations that have it.

Unfortunely, "basic needs" doesn't means the same for goverments and for people. 
 

I hope the citizens of both India and Pakistan will also notice their governments' mistake and protest against the use of nuclear weapons. 
 

India had been consistently appealing for the abolition of nuclear weapons and working towards the adoption of a treaty to abolish nuclear weapons. India, however, decided to become another nuclear power because no nuclear power paid attention to her efforts. Also for geographical and historical reasons, India had been appealing against the threat of China's nuclear weapons. Therefore, it may not be fair to blame India alone for possessing nuclear weapons. Unless nuclear powers demolish and abolish their weapons, the problem of India's nuclear weapons has no solution. Then, Pakistan competed with India to possess nuclear weapons. Again, unless the problem of India's nuclear weapons is solved, Pakistan's problem remains. 

It is not an easy task to solve the problems of nuclear weapons since they are complicated with different elements as described. However, we A-bomb survivors strongly believe that no matter what reason it may be, humans must not depend on nuclear weapons, but should establish a symbiotic relationship with each other. We think multilateral talks among different countries and ethnic groups are critical in spreading the idea of coexistence. 

Instead of worrying, let us inherit the spirit that preaches the dignity of life. Let us muster up our courage and work together for world peace. If our story of being exposed to radiation 53 years ago could be of any help, we, A-bomb survivors, are happy to visit India or anywhere in the world.

The tragedy of Hiroshima and Nagasaki should never be repeated. Any action which could lead to another occurrence of such a tragedy should be avoided at all costs.

You said that all nations should pressure India and Pakistan into destroying their weapons, and if necessary, cut them off from aid. That is one opinion. On the other hand, India conducted nuclear tests as a counter action against the "nuclear haves" obscure attitudes toward nuclear disarmament. In this sense, I strongly urge countries with nuclear weapon to immediately disarm their nuclear weapons permanently. 
 

Number 1, we're harming people with this stuff. Number 2, the only purpose of nukes is to wipe out the other side before they wipe you out. Unfortunately, India and Pakistan have nukes with present coordinates and they would both destroy eachother. Why not just give up nukes? Truthfully, are we ever going to use them? NO! There would be no point inliving if we did! 

Oh well. Let's pray that the flame in Hiroshima is soonextinguished.
 

I totally agree with your opinion that we shouldn't prepare for the threat of hypothetical enemies by holding nuclear weapons; that we should "just give up nukes"! As well, each nation and race should try to establish friendly relations so that people in this world can live safely without the threat of any nuclear arms. "Prepare not for war but peace!" 
 

I honestly can not understand it at all. All nuclear weapons should be destroyed! What gives any person in power to decide on behalf of "his" people that a weapon of mass destruction and should be made tested and used if deemed right. 

We need to make our voices heard, I cant believe that it is the will of any population(the majority)to want to build these bombs of horror.

We, the A-bomb survivors of Hiroshima, have been visiting many places to persuade people of the threat of nuclear weapons by exhibiting the disastrous effects of the A-bomb. We believe there is no better textbook than our true stories.

I pray for the people who believe in a nuclear deterrent and who give applause to the success of nuclear testing to come to realize their misunderstanding.
 

The I.M.F. is wiping out many asian countries by demanding they pay their dues in gold (used to hold american gold prices down) what else do they have to fall back on. You watch India and pakistan will no longer be ignored at the table, or shut out in the hall like they have been. Why do you think China controls the american government and america ignores japanscrisis. How many harbors has America given to the rest of Asia like they have to COSCO. How many american bases has the U.S. given to asia like theyhave China. ITS SICKER THAN SICK BUT IT IS TRUE. 
 

I can never accept the idea that gold, armaments, and nuclear weapons determine a country's dignity. Although it is true that those things have become influential in today's international scene, I believe this situation needs to be changed. As an A-bomb witness, I can assert the menace of nuclear weapons.

Warfare has repeatedly broken out since the dawn of history, and finally we came into an era facing a threat of nuclear weapons. What we need to do now is to learn from our past history and obtain wisdom to prevent the reoccurrence of evil warfare. We must transfer this era based on "power" to an era based on "harmony" and "love." 

Thought it may seem hard to change our concept, we must hang in there for it is not an idealistic theory. We must keep stepping forward to achieve world peace, which is the "heart of Hiroshima." 
 

Nobody is allowed to threaten and deprive others of lives. However if somebody or something threaten your lives , nobody but you should stand up and fight against the evil thing. I believe that the world will surely be changed if courageous people are united and build solidarity. Therefore I sincerely hope that you will raise your voice for peace together , not waiting to be protected by someone else. So let's stand up and fight for the sake of your children as well as yourself !
